WELCOME!
Thank you for checking out Glasgow Baptist Church. We will be honored for you to visit with us. Our ultimate aim through our corporate worship gathering is to EXALT THE NAME OF JESUS by leading people to know and follow Him. If you are planning to visit, below are a few important facts to help you on your first visit:
HOW DO I GET TO THE CHURCH?
GBC is located on 401 South Green Street. There are several doors to enter through but DOOR #4 is located on College Street and will take you straight inside to the Welcome Desk and the Sanctuary. Here you will find the weekly bulletin, fudge and candy, and a gift bag for all those visiting for the first time. You'll also find members of our Greeter Team ready to shake a hand and lend a hand.
HOW DO I DRESS?
Some wear their “Sunday best” while others wear casual and comfortable clothes on Sunday morning. Sunday and Wednesday evenings are also casual. Don’t worry about what you wear – just come expecting grace and truth.
WHAT DO I BRING?
If you have a Bible, printed version or digital, bring it with you! It will help you to follow along in the Worship Service (10:30am) and in Small Group Bible Studies (9:30am). If you don’t have a Bible, don’t worry; we have plenty!
WHERE DO I PARK?
Vistor spots are located on West College Street alongside DOOR #4. There is a parking lot behind the church perfect for families with kids and those needing handicapped access. There is also a very large overflow parking lot just through the light on South Green Street directly across from the Church of Christ.
WHERE DO MY CHILDREN GO?
The Children's Wing is located on the 2nd floor. The main Kid's Entrance is located off of the rear parking lot at DOOR #6. Greeters at any entrance will be glad to assist you in getting you and your children to the kid's department. At Check-In, Parents/Guardians will be given a nametag that coordinates with another nametag placed on the child's back. These confirm the identity of the child and provide our team with allergy and contact information if needed. Please hang on to your copy of the nametag for the time when you pick up your kids.
During worship, the children (nursery - 2nd grade) have the opportunity to attend Children's Church OR remain with you in the morning worship service; the noise of kiddos is a joyful sound! (There are also children's worship bulletins available to help them engage.)
If you are joining us for worship for the first time and want your child to attend children's church, please sign them in at any time during the morning songs. Leaders sit with children on the front left side on the main floor. Look for a leader with a lanyard; they would love to assist you!
